Holistic care, guidance and self-management strategies to improve your quality of life.
Kristen is a physiotherapist with over 25 years experience and has extensive skills and knowledge in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and women’s health. She has worked in Australia and overseas with women from adolescents to the elderly across various physical abilities and concerns.
Kristen’s passion for women’s health began 15 years ago working in a large metropolitan hospital. Here, she became skilled in the education, treatment and management of women during their pregnancy and postnatal recovery. This developed into a broader interest in women experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction and pelvic pain.
Ten years ago she developed a private obstetric physiotherapy service, working collaboratively with obstetricians and other allied health professionals. Kristen delivers effective treatment plans including guidance in returning to activity and sport.
With a passion for treating a wider scope of pelvic floor dysfunction and chronic pelvic pain related conditions, her experience includes the management of bladder and bowel conditions, prolapse, pelvic pain and pre/post- operative care. Kristen’s goal in treatment is to optimise functional recovery and promote independent, long term management.
A combined knowledge of both musculoskeletal and pelvic floor techniques enables Kristen to provide specialised and comprehensive care.
Kristen is a registered physiotherapist, member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, Continence & Women’s Health Special Interest Group and also a member of Women’s Health Training Associates.
She continually updates her knowledge and skills by attending advanced post-graduate workshops, education seminars and conferences.
