MEET KRISTEN
Holistic care, guidance and self-management strategies to improve your quality of life.
Kristen has 30 years experience as a physiotherapist and has acquired extensive skills and knowledge in Women's Health and Musculoskeletal physiotherapy.. She has worked in Australia and overseas with women from adolescents to the elderly across various physical abilities and concerns.

Kristen’s passion for Women’s Health began over 20 years ago whilst working in a large Brisbane metropolitan hospital. Here, she became skilled in the education, treatment and management of women during their pregnancy and postnatal recovery, including guidance in return to activity and sport. This developed into a broader interest in women experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction and pelvic pain. 18 years ago she developed a private obstetric physiotherapy service, working collaboratively with obstetricians and allied health professionals.

With a passion for treating a wider scope of pelvic floor dysfunction and persistent pelvic pain related conditions, her experience includes the management of bladder and bowel conditions, prolapse, pelvic pain and pre/post- operative care. Kristen’s goal in treatment is to optimise functional recovery and promote independent, long term management.

A combined knowledge of both musculoskeletal and pelvic floor techniques enables Kristen to provide specialised and comprehensive care and to deliver effective treatment plans towards achieving patient goals.

Kristen is a registered physiotherapist, member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, Women’s, Mens &
Pelvic Health Special Interest Group and also a member of Women’s Health Training Associates.
She continually updates her knowledge and skills by attending advanced post-graduate workshops, education seminars and conferences.
